New Ideas for new sutphens
 

I was speaking with Morgan last week and we were bench racing a little.
I brought up my turbocharged 1969 firebird with gen 7 DFI and we started talking about boats and how you dont see enough turbocharged out there.

Turbos have come along way since the old banks boat kits back in the 70's and 80's

wouldnt it be cool to see a new sutphen with a twin turbo option?

If you notice the boat was tuned by Job spetter of turbo people.

He is one of if not the best tuner in the country IMO.

Get a pair of Tommy from Cheif's 1200 Twin Turbo's and put them in a 40!!:D:D

Im sure morgan would have no problem building one all you have to do is make your check payable to Sutphen performace group

if I had a 20 or 21 single screw I would probably do my own boat but since I have OB 2 strokes I think i'll pass.

though a few guys on SNF are doing it with 200 mercs

takes up to much room. need a single i think for space, and make it higher compression with lower boost so it has power to plane out and and spools the turbo faster.

the issue with the turbo i think is the planing off. if the boat doesnt have the power on tap it wont plane and a blower is instaint power.
however the right engine combo (higher compression) with the right tuning etc, i think you would have something

I dont see why you cant make boost imediatly witha boat?
My turbo on my race car is all in by 2500 RPM.
my RPm range is ponly 2500 to 6500 so It has to be.

My boat doesnt even think of planing until 2500 RPM anyway.


You have that under CID'd LS1 crap anyway thats why you cant spool sh&^.LOL
