just wet sand the hull down to the original Maroon paint.
I get graphics off race cars this way all the time down to the base color and the buff.

Cool I will try that. I Just scored a nice set of wrap around bucket seats with plastic seat frames. Is anyone still messing around with the tower of power mercs. Are there parts still around to freshin up the engine? I talked to the last owner and he a said the boat was a 50 mph boat but thought the engine needed some tuning and there was more in it. It sucks that I got it so late in the season or I would be all over this thing. It has these super cool old school guages that look like the old stewart warners from the 60/70s . The steering wheel is a 3 spoke stainless and wood. looks like it came from a 60s vette. In the otherhand it has maroon astroturf flooring that must go.

talk to a guy named transomestand on screamandfly.com hes a good guy and he knows alot of O/B people in CT. He has helped me out with the whole O/B learning curve.

They arent nearly as hard to work on as you might think.

The more time I spend around them the more I like them.

My old 20 is for sale here in CT.

I dont have specifics but if anyone is interested I'll find out more about it.

It had a brand new 350 SBC in it, volovo 290 drive, And the guy put a brand new trailer under it.
I dont think it has ever moved an inch since I sold it.
