execution express sure looks like a hell of a boat back in its day but it looks like there gonna be alot of $$$ spent to bring it back and with boats selling so cheap now its not gonna make sense to spend that cash.

it would have to be for the love it and not a business thing thats for sure.

Yes I know Chris who owned E.E. Do you know him? I looked at the boat with him in his yard about 3 years ago and he was going to make me a deal on it, for less than half of what they are asking now but it would need a ton of $$. Hull was in very nice shape. I only remember seeing it on the water once, it spent much more time on the trailer. Chris moved up to a 44' canopied MTI with turbines!
Anyone able to post pics from when it raced?
Matt

Hey Matt,
I know Chris only thru conversation from the existing owner of
the boat John Hazzleton(Owner Independent Marine) who is
a very fascinating story teller (Good Guy). He's just really out of the ball park with His price for E.E., every thing has been sold out of the boat with the exception of the drives and trany's.....
John's price to me with the boat delivered to my door step (As John put it) $20,000.00 SPFFTT coffee out my noise. That happens every time I say that number out loud !

There most of been SALIVA at the corners of my mouth while
we were negotiating L O L or something like that !!! Needless to say E.E. is still in New Hampshire. I have the motors, the drives and a very competent restorer waiting for my project boat here in North Miami. And what's really crazy I know what Chris sold the boat for $$$ to John, Complete, intact , and original condition back then..............The search continues for a round back Sutphen.

Ciao C.B.

I saw a nice little 20' in your area on Craig's List yesterday that could hold you over!
When I looked at E.E. there were drives, guages, bolsters, and Chris had all sorts of various motor parts that he was going to let go.
It would be nice to see someone grab that boat, throw some $$ at it and have a nice poker runner.
I would really like to see pics from its racing days.
Good luck in your search.
Matt

There was a nice 30 FT loaded with nice parts and options last year in the MI area that sold for less than he wants for that HULL.LOL

I beleive the boat was a members on here at one time, had the radar arch and bike mounts on it, large windshield? Not a old race hull though.

whats the opinion of the value of that hull as its sits?

I say under 10K maybe we need an independent thread for this one?

Timing is everything I guess

Fobes,
For 5 to 8 K more WStultz old Sutphen over in
Sitchuate Mass. would be a better deal and a
substantial race history behind Her to boot.
I have power boat magazine's back to 1979
and can't find a still picture of "Gypsy"
anywhere L O L...... Even my old boat not a
pic. to be had, like they didn't exist...Oh well.

CT30Sutphen,
I remember that sled ! And the windshield was
huge, like it was on roids l o l . Nonetheless a clean
and straight example of a Sutphen well maintained.
My view of pricing a HULL is based upon how much
is needed to up-date the rigging totally. I usually start
off with a figure of $500.00 a ft.. In E.E.'s case that
would bring Her to $15,000.00 agreed. Then start
subtracting everything that needs to be up-dated lol,
so your spot on in your guest-a-ment !

Moving Forward,
C.B.

CG, My Throttlteman owns the 30', Mike's got it runnin', Nice lookin'now!! E.E. is alot of money, But " INFERNO" was $25k, and needed a SH*t load of time & Money, You gotta look thru all the B.S. and see the finished product in your head! I've got more in my boat than it's worth, but you can't buy "PRIDE", Just my 2 Cents!
