Looking for a 26?

Here is a rare older single engine 26 for sale. The boat is in pretty nice shape for what it is. The power package isnt the greatest but it could end up being an awesome boat! I personally like the color combo. We were going to buy it but were getting something else to replace the cat once it sells.

I like the colour combo also. The boat has lived it's life on the same lake with only two owners. It was sold new through a marina on Lake Muskoka to a fellow who also bought a 20 which I believe he still owns. Boat is all original but I think the deck has been re-gelled. Engine is a clean 330/TRS with velvet drive transmission.

The big block TRS package eats up a lot of the cockpit space on this boat but the engine bay is huge.

Yes, sold through local dealer. The dealer was a friend of Sr.

Would it hit 60 with that power? That's a cool package even if the colors are a bit odd.

No, mid 50's once you put a bravo prop on it.

30ctsutphen 11-09-2010 09:23 AM

BBC in a 26 would only run 50s?

That doesnt sound right to me?

My 26 with twin 200's ran in the high 70's

christians with twin 350's runs high 60's I would think with the weight savings and the BBC torque youd have to see low 60's with that set up. No ?

OL40SVX 11-09-2010 01:16 PM

It has one little motor in it with a tranny and a TRS!!

When I bought my 26 in 1996 I had Richie install a 454-330 / Bravo. The boat ran 63MPH. I built a 500 HP 502 and installed it, 76 MPH. Ran it for a year with this setup. The following year , I installed a 250 blower, approx 700 HP, 91 MPH. After a few years, 800 HP, closing in on 100 MPH. The boat handled like it was on rails. The boat will be back on the water next year with 800HP or more.

Heck no! Its Whipple time Ernie!!:D

Bam's speed calculator says:
WGT SHAFT HP CONSTANT SPEED
5300 300 225 54
4800 330 240 63
4800 475 240 76
4800 690 240 91

I allowed for this older boat to be 10% heavier and adjusted the constant because of the drag from the TRS and lower drive height. It's all good!!!!!
