What kind of speeds do you get in a 26 Sutphen w/500 hp and Bravo? How do they run w/a single? Are all new ones built in nj not cape coral?

Any news on the redesigned 27 yet?

A 27 can be built with the flat deck (similar in appearance to the 26) at any time.

26 with a HP500 will run 75to 77 mph. Same boat with HP525 80 to 81mph. Small blower motor with 700HP 90 -92 mph. 800HP will get you close to 100mph. The 26 loves big water and handles like a dream.

Hey mike yes sir went to Illinois to get her I am loving it, we are testing this Saturday out of earls marina like 9 am shake down run to ob for a few drinks. If you are ready to run I think James will be coming so if you are not ready jump in with him we have seven boats going as of now so it should be good. Ya we are missing the first race also we have enries motor out right now at peters but he is kicking but on it today hope to put her back in tomarrow. But I don't think we are going to rush it it's going to be a long session. Ya Peter has not even taken the cover off he and I need to test together before we race, but at least I have my 26 now so I can get used to that it will be an easer transition. But you should defentally come out this Saturday

Yup, that's his new boat. I was running with him this past Sunday when he had it out for the first time. You should have seen the smile on his face!!! I was running next to him in my 25' baja outlaw when we got into the rough water hands down 100% sutphen....I was amazed how well that boat handled the rough water. Way to go Marc congrats on the new boat!!

I saw the boat on my way to work this morning. Looks great! Any updates?

How about with a single Merc454 (365 HP) I'm guessing 65mph what do you think

26 with 330 oval port stock 454
 

I originally had my 26 built with a stock 330. The boat ran 63 mph. Put a 498hp dynoed 502 in and the boat ran 76mph. The next year with a 250 B&M blower and 1150 Holly [7lbs boast] the boat ran 91mph. The following year, a 509,8-71 blower,2-850 Holleys,7 lbs of boost [798hp,868ft lbs of torque] 98mph.

I'm looking at an 1983 Rum Runner with twin 350's (maybe 300HP each?) w/Alpha drives. Supposedly it only does 67 on gps? Seems a little slow looking at these comparisons... maybe it's propped wrong or is it a weight or drives issue?

Did you buy this boat? Haven't seen it around what's asking price?
