"SCOUNDREL"
Does anyone know anything about this boat or have any pics of it to post? It went by on the river today...I think it is possibly a 38' Sutphen...but not sure. The boat has a mult-color fade paint job with an image of skull and cross bones near the stern.
I think the owner also has or had a 30' Velocity by the same name...it was for sale in the Powerboat magazine classifieds about 2 or 3 years ago.
Just curious, I would like to get a better/closer look at this boat...it's very nice! I think it's VERY FAST too!!

I believe it is a 34' Sutphen, some big nasty motors-1200-1300's? with I believe 4's or 5's on boxes. Supposed to run 115-120 or so. I almost bought the boat from the previous owner who I believe was the oringinal owner. Was in nice shape.

Re: "SCOUNDREL"
Bob & Mark,
THANKS for the help!! I caught up with him today at the boat ramp in Burlington near/next to Curtin's Marina. BADD *SSS boat!!
He mentioned it being a 1989 35' Sutphen (Ocean Racer or Ocean Pacer model?? I can't remember which one.)
I used to think Sutphens were made in New England...Mass. or RI maybe...my bad!! Coral Gables, FL is actually the home base for the builder if I am correct.

Re: "SCOUNDREL"
i think he had a 30' stinger before the sutphen (a 34 outrageous?).....if it's the same owner, it was written up in hot boat a while back....too bad he changed the orig. colors...that boat was a perfect example of a classic sutphen....oh well, to each his own...
..it was in the march 04 issue, the old boat was for sale in issues of the same era....

Re: "SCOUNDREL"
Does anyone have that issue of Hot Boat from 2004 to scan the "blurb" and pic here?? I'd like to see the classified too of the Velocity if anyone has that.
His last boat was a 30' Velocity...not a Chris C. Stinger.
I know it runs over 100 mph...just how much over is the question.
