Is there any literature to read about the origins of Stuphen boats?
|
Actually a brief history on their web site.
|
Of course, It would help if I spelled the word "SUTPHEN" correctly Hello !!!!............thanks benjen
|
Bigger than I'm looking for, but sure seems like a lot of bang for the buck. Nice ride! :D

Thanks Keytime. Been a Sutphen fan for a long time. I bought a 91 31" new and always dreamed of having a 39'. Dream come true and it runs the water outrageous. These Sutphens are great hulls.

39 is the cats meow :) have fun and be safe
|

Just a little too much boat for me and where I use it. Glad I kept my 31. I guess this wasn't one of my well thought out plans.

Yea and I added a set of additional bunks to make it a little more user friendly.

You know what, I'm not even going to say cause I'm starting to have second thoughts about selling it. I came up with an idea that may make it more useable for me where I use it. Sorry if I got a few peoples hopes up.

Stephen...........must have been a real "moment" to watch a boat as big as the 39 overtake the 27 sport..........wish I could find, but seems very rare any video of a 39' Sutphin running.
38' Dominator on u-tube w/brief startup and that's it!.........plenty of Cigs, fountains, apaches, etc; etc;..........the Sutphin 390 in particuliar Bob's 39' seems to be a diamond in the rough! |
Let me know if you are looking to sell... I live where you purchased it from... haha. I am interested. [email protected]
|
It's for sale. But, not at a giveaway price

This is not the boat in the thread. This boat is a 92 with 6's and 1000 hp Zul engines.

Well, as I said I would sell it, but not the 45 or $50K that the one on the thread sold for. I have waaaaaay too much money/new parts in this boat. In fact it's almost easier to list what isn't new in the power train. I would only sell it for $75K. I know your going to say It's too much. That's your prerogative. The long and the short of it is I won't sell it for less. The boat runs in excess of 100 in just about any water. I just replaced the gimbal rings..........dealer cost is $2600. All the rams were rebuilt and new pins. Cobra gets $10k apiece. The engines have less than 10 hours. I haven't even changed the oil yet. Blocks are new Dart tall deck, pistons, cams, lifters, shaft mount rockers, pushrods, AFR heads, ARP bolts everywhere, intercoolers, restripped Moonyhan Blowers, carbs, MSD Ignition, Aeromotive electric pumps, all the lines. Even the props just came back from BBlades. It's on a 2009 Nextrail aluminum trailer that probably has less than 3500 miles on it. I believe if this isn't the fastest, it's certainly top 2 side by side Sutphen's ever!

That is correct. Still has less than 400 hours on hull.

Pic? |
Seriously I have no idea how to post. I have a recent video and if you do a search type sutphen $60k open up the thread "boat price". There are a few pictures there.

Wow went away for the weekend and now everybody's on the fence about selling their 39s. Yours is beautiful benjen. I think 75 sounds like a great deal.
|
That will teach you to go away. Thanks for the kind words.
|
Herb's 39' was by far the baddest sounding boat at the BLM poker run. I guess there IS something to say about Zul's. Reminded me of the 46' Rough Rider with
Zul's at the previous run. Very impressive setup. |
That is an awesome boat and sweet video. I had to share it. I will eventually own a 39.
