Default Stolen 20

I saw this and thought I would pass it along. Pretty crappy day when someone rips off your boat let alone a Sutphen.

Stolen 1976 Sutphen 20' boat (toms river , nj)
I am looking for my stolen Sutphen 20 Gran Sport. It was under restoration. there's no motor or transom assembly in boat. last seen at 1054 Fischer Blvd. Toms River. I have title to prove ownership. please email me with any info on this boat. its been in the family for years. reward will be given to anyone that helps locate the boat.

Wow odd.
Not to be a Dick but if I was gonna put my azz on the line, it would be for something a Lil more desirable than a old 20 w/o power!!!!! What's someone gonna do w a unrestored hull?

$50 says the boat got dumped and some metal farmer scrapped the trailer.

Regardless, probably not a good feeling for the owner.

I texted the owner the other day. Seems like a real good guy. This is one of 2 that he has, the other is a jet. He was in the process of restoring it and had big power ready to go, blackhawk drive, and plans for it to be an awesome boat. Hope all us Sutphen fans can spread the word and maybe something positive will happen. I already told a number of people I know. Give him a hand and spread the word. He told me the cops wouldn't even take a report until this past Monday. Must be just like they are by me, too busy giving out speeding tickets to be bothered with solving crime.

I'll keep my eye out in CT. I have an 18 footer, not worth a lot but I love her!

They found the boat and he got it back. Scarab63 was close with his above comment. They ripped up the floor and took the gas tank.

I heard it was recovered in Beachwood NJ. Just curious if the scumbag was caught and charges pressed? Would like to hear "the rest of the story". Maybe it will help someone from going thru the same thing?
