Has anyone ran shorty imcos or extension boxes on there boats. Worth the money or should I run stock xr's on my swap

depends on where your prop shaft is now.

Well I'm looking at about 5 inches below the bottom of the boat. How will the 31 handle with less drive in the water

mine and a few others I've done, handle great.very stable at speed.its all in how straight you get your setup on the back of the boat.

Im just thinking about -2 drives to get a little stronger drive and a little higher x demention

Real measurements. crankshaft centerline to bottom of standard bravo drive are showing 6.3/4 inches below bottom with my -2 drives ill be 4 3/4 below my plan is to run a standard height extension box which would bring it back to the original 6 3/4. my question is should I go up more due to drive being in clean water rolling back up or is 6 3/4 a decent measurement for that hull. ive never played with drive heights much but everything is coming of the transom so this might be my chance. looking for some in put and measurements from guys that have these boats not so much theory

Thanks guys

You should just set it up like my boat, shawnh's boat and letterip's.all our boats run the long input shaft and all our prop shafts are about even or just a half inch down from the bottom of the boat.
With boxes you run the drives up higher because of the water flow rising more from being set back.

And don't forget to put 6 50lb bags of cement up front in the cabin. And put your goggles on so when they break open you don t get cement dust in your eyes .
