Stand up or sit down...

31 Spirit, want to redo cockpit, contemplating should I go with sit down, I know that sit down has its own benefits but I'm not sure if it would fit 31' 1988 style cockpit, sit down seats high on boxes might look weird.
Any opinions appreciated?
