Newbie saying hello, and OH-MY-GAWD...I'm so excited to find a decent lot of Sutphen informtion on the web! I'm 33 and I bought mine before I could drive a car (16 in CT)! It was kinda clapped-out (1972 Supthen 18 Gran Sport), but she's now in cherry condition in Southern California. From the time I bought this boat people everywhere, have gone absolutely nuts over her (especailly me)! and I've signed up for a 6 month membership, cuz I wanna see all the other boats, but the membership hasn't kicked in yet to view, so see the following e-mail with a link to my boat and some more information about her. Sooo many stories to tell too...air from here 'til Tuesday...a 55 mph mis-hap trailering on the freeway...taking on lot's of water in Long Island sound with a full crew, etc. Anyway...

Heheheh. I think I caught my breath, but just barely. Back in the early eighties, Offshore Speed and Ski in Stonington gave me and my dad a ride in a 26ft Twin Outboard Rum Runner, and I've never been the same since...Got the bug bad!

welcome.....I also got a ride in stonington....1992 shopping for Cigarette-Sutphen....rode in a twin big block 26 or 30.....I'll never forget it....96mph....:D
