Inferno/Spystuff
 

I would like to thank Greg Direnzo a. k. a. Spyguy for selling me his Sutphen- Inferno/Spystuff4U. Finally got the paper work & saw the boat in Fla. He runs a 1ST class operation! So this forum will have a new member. The boat will be brought up to Conn. & will be restored out of my good friends shop called Boat Connections, a Great rigging & motor shop in Norwalk Ct. I can't wait to here it run & go out for the first time ! So stay tuned for more info & pic's of " a work in progress". Again Thanx Greg !!! Dave Bennette

Thanks Fred, I hope to get the boat up here by this week. I saw you had ritchie Zul valve covers, but for big blocks. Let me know if you have any small block parts. Thanx -DB.

We would like to see some picks after you get it. I've seen that boat race in Key West years ago. Nice boat.

BTW, what kind of hardware are you running on the transom? (drives and stuff).

Mar/Trans., Right now there's TRS's & small blocks, I am gonna take out bad motor & put in new. Just go thru whole boat , lettering replaced, bolster's , paint etc. I want to run it this year! My guy's are all set to go once it come's up to Ct. Stay tuned, There's alot to be seen! DB.

What kind of transmissions are in the boat.(Merc Trans or Velvet Drive).

There are crash boxes in the boat now, with TRS's. Thanx DB.

Hey Marty, Yea the boat got up here last week. Gonna start work on it this weekend, getting rid of some of the sticker's, compound out the paint , fixing some spider crack's. Got 2 long block's on order, new battery's &on &on. I'm gonna post some pic's of before & after as soon as I can. Marine trans., Iv'e got pic's in the camera but having a hard time on this site to attach them! I'm gonna call to see what's up. 818181, what are you doing for motors now (hp)? Are you going to keep TRS for this year?

Mar/Trans., I am gonna use the TRS's because theywere just rebuilt! As far as the motor's I've got 2 long block's about 450hp, but I've got to pull both motor's to see how bad the blown motor is. Who know's??? Let me know how you made out with waxing your boat! I do plan on getting x-tra crash boxes. Just heard wer'e getting 4-8" of the WHITE STUFF on Tues.,thatscrew's me up big TIME. There is a 30' raceboat (Sutphen) down the street from me called "Execution Express", orange with a grim reaper painted on the hullsides, anyone know the history on this boat? Lucky strike, always like to see your old school photos....Matt

Mar/Trans., Haven't been able to do anything big on it yet! I had bought a 28' Signature w/ Triple 2.4's, & have to get that ready 1st!!! I hope to start on it in 2week's or sooner. I hope your's is goin' better than mine!!! Keep in touch,[ Dave] By the way the Signature is to take the wife out in!!
