PROPS: 30P Maximus

Pair of 30P Maximus at 15 1/8 diameter with the difuser ring still attached. Leading edges (approx 1 inch) of the blades have been tappered but not thinned through-out. Less than 2 hour testing since these came back from the prop shop. Pics to come but these look perfect!!!

$1,500.00 OBO

pardon my naivety, what does tappering the leading edge do for you?

That may not be the proper terminology.......I didn't want to "lab" the props but we did want to get the rpm's up a little when we made so adjustments to the props. Normally the blades are thick from the back side nearly all the way to the leading (thin) edge and then come to a quick/sharp point. I had them thinned slightly/or sharpened starting about an inch back from the leading edge so they would cut more efficiently through the water. (not a true Lab job, but kinda like somewhere in the middle so the integrity of the prop blades are not compromised)

Labbed 28 Maximus that are 15 5/8 diameter I spin to 5,300...also have a set of 32 Bravos that have been worked into 33's that provide great cruise speed but only get the rpm's up to about 5,000. I'd like to try a set of Labbed 32's...should get the boat over 85.

Little more on the 33 Bravos? Who did the work?

Also who worked the 30" Maxes?

A local guy that has been doing prop work for many years. While he's not as well known, he certainly understood what I was trying to achieve and got me there. I bought the 30 MAX from someone who couldn't spin them then cut them down some without success, so they had little use. Since we had the data from the 28 MAX and the 32 Bravos, he was able to hit what I needed from the 30 MAX the first time he touched them.

The 32's were props I already had but I wanted to make them a good "cruising" set (I already had a set of 30's that would be top end props but later found out they had cracks in them). He worked on them a little...but they didn't work like I wanted. After some minor adjustments, they were GREAT!!! These things cruise right about the same rpm/speed as the 28 MAX I have and run almost the same WOT but at only 5,000 rpm's instead of 5,300. I'm afraid to mess with them anymore.
56-58 at 3,500 and 81-83 at WOT for all 3 sets (28 MAX, 30 MAX, and 32+ Bravos)...labbed 30 Bravos gopt me 85-almost 86.

BTW: You asked about the Bravos, but I'm not looking to get rid of them.

I got a pair of labbed 32 bravo's (bblades) that
turn a little fast for my boat. I'll trade you for those
32/33's you have.

I've been out of town (FL) and just saw this post. I'm thinking this might work since I already have my "cruising" props.......
