The difference between the 250 and the 420 is (CFM) Cubic Feet per Minute these numbers represent how much air flow can be generated by these pumps.

Thank youas well. I knew that but in order for it to move almost twice as much air it would need to be almost twice as big as the 250. The ones I've seen being called 420's look the same as the 250's I'm looking at on my garage floor. I see no differences. By the way this pair I have are available too.

FIREBOAT,their is a huge difference,the 250 is slightely longer than the 420,but the 420 is double the height of the 250.i have used both,beleive me,their is no comparison between the two.

Thanks, now that I've seen a few pics of each, I see the differences. Mine are 250's for sure. No intensions of using them so if anyone is interested in them?
