525 sc 600 hp for sale
Im selling this motor out of my formula as my new 609 ci motor is ready. The lower end of the motor has approximately 75 hrs on it and the rest of the motor has less than 50. This is not a factory Mercury Racing motor. It has the following
block, crank and rods are original mercury
windage tray and stock size oil pan
forged aluminum pistons approx. 8.25:1 static compression
edelbrock aluminum rect. port heads with stainless intake and inconel exhaust
Crane Cams roller rocker arms
Crane 731 cam and Crane hydraulic roller lifters
weiand 177 blower
superchiller intercooler
AED boost referenced 4150 carb
teague custom marine valve covers
K&N air filter
this comes with the thermostat housing, flywheel, water pump, and crankshaft pullies for both the accessories and blower drive. I also have 3 sizes of upper pulley to change boost for different RPM settings and fuel grade. It does not come with the distributor, ignition, or exhaust as I am using them in my new setup. It is a great motor and runs strong. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this engine. The boat it is coming out of is just a very heavy and slow boat and I need to go faster!! (It pushed the 93 formula that is a non step and weighs over 6000 to 74mph at 5100rpm) I am willing to set it up on my engine builder's dyno if anyone wants to pay for it.
I would prefer to sell it complete for $7,000.
I might sell the induction setup (intake, intercooler, blower, and carb) for $3,000
