850's Complete

Here guys, come get them. I am going to hate letting them go, but I found some other stuff I want.

Someone can come get them for $15000.00 if they bring cash. If you want to pay some other way lets discuss it.

One of these engines runs fine. Needs to be cleaned up and polished. Has around 65 hours on it.

The other one has a broken piston caused by detonation from a leaky header. Can be fixed with a piston.

They have the potential for a lot more power

Merlin 3 tall deck blocks, BDS 10-71 blowers, GIL 10 qt offshore pans. Currenty 540CI. MSD ignitions, wiring, carbs, lines everything you see in pics.

Great starting point for someone wanting to make big power. I ran these engines until the end of last summer when I broke the piston.

Come get these things before I tear them apart and spend all my money re freshing them. Save some money and do them yourself

Are you sure those blowers are 1071's ?? Maybe it's me, but they look like 871's. Hope I'm wrong. Thought I remember having a pair that were exactly like them, and they were 8's.

Imeasured them as 1 1/8" longer than an 8/71.

Isn't that a 10/71?

What heads, cranks and rods are in them?

I pulled them out of a boat I sold. I really don't know what is in there. They were built by Dereberry performance in Texoma. He doesn't rememebr what he put in them. I havn't torn them down. That is why they are priced so cheap.

I know from looking at the cam that they appear to be a illet steel cam. Lifters don't have any scoring etc to make me think that they would have any more time on them than the hour meter said. Stainless rockers.

They ran really sweet and would snap you back into the seat pretty hard from the middle all the way to the top.

I hate to give them away, but if someone else can use them, I might as well spread the wealth.

If anybody wants to talk about them you can call me 832.439.5304

I thought that also, but they are still 1:1 though if I remember right.

You guys have me second guessing myself now. I guess I need to go re measure all of this stuff

The blower case measures at 17 1/8". That makes it a 10-71.

Come get these things guys. Trying to do aother deal and need the cash.

Sorry Jeff, me bad. I just thought that those looked like 8's, usually the 10's show a bit longer in the back towards the distributor, that's all. These are a few of the 10's that I've been playin with lately up here. :ernaehrung004:
