Spring special on the Konrad 540 PRS III (SSM IIII) conversion kit.

The Konrad PRS III is a direct bolt-on drive unit for the Merc Speedmaster III. This system retains the existing Speedmaster transom assembly. All that's required is swapping out the SSM drive bell and installing the Konrad bell (included w/ new bellows) into the SSM gimbal ring.

would these replace #5's? dont they take the same transom assy, also what is the max hp they will take?

Yes, we do have a package for the SSM V, It's basically the same upper unit as pictured but the lower gear case is 2" shorter. It puts the propshaft about 2" lower than the SSM V. The Konrad units run Bravo style props, since the prop dia. is reduced it seems to work better (and get on plane) a little deeper anyway.

The Konrad units are rated for up to 800 hp.
