Gauges are faded and dash could use a face lift. Drop in your engine and exhaust and go! Boat is in Palm Bay Florida. Bring your trailer. $6K
Dual axle Aluminum Trailer with 4 new tires $1600 Ray http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...e/HPIM0968.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...e/HPIM0970.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...lic/Corsa6.jpg |
Hey!
Just wanted to say I would consider trade for a full size SUV (expedition, tahoe, ect) or possibly a fast outboard setup. Plus or minus cash. Ray
|
Well....
*****I do have the 502 ci BBC full roller motor (aprox 600hp) and a set of CMI stainless exhaust if needed*****
Here is a crummy video of it: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...h_HPIM0973.jpg |
Wow!
Never mind!
|
Not sure how to delete what I wrote, but anyway, Ray is a good guy, and although I havent seen the boat, I am sure it is everything Ray Says it is and more.
|
That's a great price and solid piece of equipment. Corsa built them tough.
|
Ray ,,good talking to you !!!
And i am shure the boat is fine !!!! Scott:ernaehrung004: |
Hey!
Rick! Thanks for the kind words. I guess at this point there might have been a misunderstanding between myself and Chris. Probably best to leave it at that.
Hey Scott! Great talking with you! If all goes as planned I will see you the 23rd or 24th. Kick some butt in marathon! Thanks again for all your help! I will give you a call. Ray Hey KMP! Are you familiar with them? I had heard the name over the years but never saw one. Im impressed with the boat being that its 25 years old. Again not a show piece but a real cool old school look. Seems to be built like a brick sh-it house. |
I just thought about the Corsa ,,,,lets stick a #4 on it and see how she handles !!!???
The #3 is way deep in the water verses the 4 !!! Lets get her to run up in the 90's .WOOOHOOO !!!:ernaehrung004: |
Ray, yes, the Corsa is a great solid boat. I started to (and should have) bought Miklos's Corsa several years ago. I love the way they handle. Almost the same hull as the Pantera, but the strakes are slightly wider and no pad.
I bought an old P&D and have been having to add bulkheads, additional glass, etc to stiffen it up. If didn't have my boat so far along, I'd pick this one up. Solid well built hull, #3 drive (won't break with a mild 540) solid seating...set up to race. |
Wow!
Hey Scott! You dont actually think that runnin 90's will scare me do ya? Been flirting with tripple didgets for a while with my Cougar MTR. Although running in anything but flat water will be a challenge! Where are you staying in Marathon? I might be able to head down for the day and will look you up.
Hey KMP! I hear that Miklos's Corsa was something special. I had a P&D back in the late 80's. I loved it! You have any pics of your project? Ray |

Here you go Ray. I cut up the cockpit and moved the seating back. Miklos/Decusis helped me with the setup. Runs in the mid 80's. After this run I decided I needed more meat in the hull and added Kevlar, 1708, Balsa and foam core. Kent

Wow!
Hey Kent! That boat is beautiful! You made it sound like it was a project boat. I love the way you extended the deck. A real work of art! Any better pics of the seats? What are they? ray

Hmm, a long way from a work of art... but I do like the profile. And yes, it was and still is a "project".
Seats are "garage special". Here is the thread for the complete job. Keeping a somewhat record keeps me working on it instead of just buying a new boat :lolhit: http://www.speedwake.com/upload/show...P&pagenumber=1 |
Well...
That has got to be the longest running thread in history! Almost 5 years. You did a great job! Ray

Thanks for the comments. I'd rather had picked one up that was in better condition to start though. Good luck on the Corsa - they are solid boats and with the Speedmaster 3; maybe a little heavy in the back, but definately a solid start. Kent |
Well
Hey Kent! What lake do you run in? How would I get there? Is it deep enough not to worry about hitting bottom? I got the steering problems solved yesterday along with getting the trim to work right. I have been running the engine off a 5 gallon can so I need to remove the tank and give it a cleaning. The tank just sits behind the bolsters. Should be easy. I think once I do that im ready to drop it in the water and see what I have. Im relieved that the steering is fixed! There are no cheap parts in the steering system. One thing I have noticed is that the transom end of the steering cylinders are mounted too high. They should be level with the pivot point on the drive but are about 5 or 6" higher. When you tilt the drive all the way up, it compresses both steering cylinders in. Im assuming thats why I had the troubles that I had. When I bought the boat the drive was trimmed all the way up and sat like that for nearly a year. Im guessing the old owner didnt need to trim the motor up for storage. Maybe kept on a boat lift or it sat real high on his trailer. Either way a simple fix. I have to admit im getting excited! Ray
