How much ?
|
$240 shipped.
|
Will that fit an Aplha one setup?
If so...I'll take it. |
not sure about the alpha setup. you may want to ask the question in the tech section.
|
How deep do the threads go inside the bar. My span is a bit shorter so if I cut off an inch on each side it will work for me.
|
I'll check it out tonight and get back to you.
|
The threads go in about 3" on each end. And the male threads are about 1-1/2" long. Theorectically you could cut 1" off each side and still have 1/2" of room.
How would you plan on cutting this ?? |
I have a friend with a machine shop. We could probably try the bandsaw with a diamond blade, or just stick it in the lathe and turn it down? If the hole is deep enough I can even run a tap into the end and re-thread a bit deeper if necessary?
Let me take another measurement of my boat tomorrow. I'll pull it out of the water and check again. |
Just checked again tonight and its exactly 31 inches from centre to centre on my drives. That would mean I would have to cut 1 1/2" off each end to make it work.
Is the bar solid or hollow with threads cut inside? I might be able to make it work with a bit of machining... |

the bar is solid with about a 3" hole drilled in each side. the threads go pretty close to the end of the hole.

Did it ever sell? Does it fit Alpha drives? Inquiring minds want to know... :)
|
I still have it for sale. It came off a bravo setup, but looks like with some work, you can modify it to fit an alpha setup.
