Looking for a 450+HP motor Under $4000
 

My buddy is looking for a 450+ HP motor for under $4000. Must be complete. Please no projects. Were in Georgia and we can work shipping out. Have a good running 310horse 454 that he might possibly trade and cash for a more expensive motor. Please send pm's or emails and send motor specs and pics please. [email protected]

Bolt on a blower and your there. I just so happen to have one on ebay, item # 320479037133 (177 weiand) reserve is 1000.

jeffman had a couple of 496's he might consider offing one and take a trade for some cash. It might be worth a shot. Those are some nice engines he has.

Does he want all the marine stuff on it to for that price???I got a fresh stroked 454 gen 4 they have fuel pump mount and two piece rear main.That is 496 inches alum head motor,has about 10 hours on it,would sell less marine stuff for 6,000 less carb and dist.might take the 454 on trade if it's not all ate up with salt. Your friends not going to get much for 4000 ready to go.

I respect what your saying how ever there are a lot of deals around right now. Assuming we are just talking about the engine and none of the marine accs. Doubtful if he will find 500 plus cubic inch for that however there are a lot of fresh 468 CI for sale around that price. Then again there always risk purchasing a supposedly fresh rebuild also. Credibility from the seller is the key. I would look in the classifieds on here and seriousoffshore. Doesn't fireboatpilot still have his 468's?

my buddy just called me and he thinks hes going another route and going to see about a blower on his 454 now. I guess we'll see where he decides to go with it from here. I appreciate the interest.

Call rob at htg racing he had a a red painted motor with a blower for 5000.00 . He might have something else around
