two bbc merc oil pans came off merc 900sc motors nice $500 for both

i thought the big merc motors had merc 14 quart pans that said mercruiser on the side of them. also thought they had a step out at the bottom of the pan but ive been known to be wrong plenty of times

I have those pans on my 1986 chris craft S/F I have 454 350 HP inboards original engines.So if you are trying to find out what they are on or what they came of of that's my 2centa just trying to help. Thanks JOHN SR

these pans are notched for a 4.500 stroke

Never looked at the insides of mine.Not trying to start no stuff,but maybe merc or who ever that casts the pans put the notches in them to clear the cranks because of the extra thickness of the alum. Just a thought.JOHN SR

yes you never know. we dry sumped the motors for the guy .there are nice pan's
