Two Re programed Merc 500 EFI ECM'S for sale
 

I have two oem mecrury ECM"S for Merc HP 500 EFI motors that have been re programed for better performance on a basic stock motor and have a raised 5600 rpm rev limit in them now. I purchased these through Fountian Power Boats. These are in the original merc Quicksilver parts box # 840136T 2 . They have been used on my boat but I have sold the boat and no longer need them . I gained 3-4 mph and a much better idle it no longer blacked the hull like the oem ones did at idle. I will sell these ecm's for $ 450.00 for the PAIR including insured shipping . What are the numbers on the back? Not the serial number, but the one above it on the left hand side of the sticker.

on the back there is a Delphi bar code sticker and the number above the bar code on the left is 16237009 if that helps you any,

Remember thats the oem sticker numbers the program inside HAS been changed from what was originaly in them, They have a sticker added to them with the # D906 which is a up dated program number from a after marker tuning service I supect!

I have the same ECMs. I was asking because I want a pair of MEFI4B's & these are not 4b's.
They are 3's which I have. The tune or program on them is of no concern to me. I'll wipe it out & do my own, which is what we did on the computers I have now.
This same Delphi number ECM is used on TONS of stuff from GM crate engines to Mercruiser & Volvo powerplants. They are not anything "special" as just the ECM.
As far as the 4 mph gain. I suppose if all the stars aligned properly it could be possible. Merc sets their stuff up on the rich side so by leaning it out & raising the rev limiter it is in the cards.
