Haha nice one Jeff. There's plenty left in these anyways considering the cam.
Do you really want me to post the dyno sheet on my little 489 pump gas motor and put your 496's to shame??? :drink: |

What is the bore & stroke combo?
Cam specs? |
socalstone - I will have to double check. I know I thought they were 510" til I checked the bore and it made 522". Keep ya posted.

Thanks, let me know. just curious what they started life as.
Also would like to know the cam specs. thanks. |
They are based off a gen 4 bowtie block. I have been told that some of the hi-perf 502s of the time came with this block from the factory and others say it was only available aftermarket.

Which engine do you still have, the one you installed or the only dyno time engine?

Thought I had the last one sold but buyer found extensive rot in his boat so back up for the time being. Great motor just trying to clear out some space.
Also have Gil/merc manifolds available or possibly CMIs (need to be pressure tested) |
Forgot all about this motor. Been stored at my engine builders in climate controlled shop. Perfect for that winter project!
Ready to move it so make offer at any level of completion - long block to fully dressed with exhaust. |
