Thinking of building a twin for this engine, Going to go with bigger blowers, any interest in this one??
B&M 250 blower. It was fresh from rebuild when I got it. Comes with everything you see that is blower related. Blower, twin 750 carbs, flame arrestor, chiller, intake, intake bolts, current top pulley and 1 that is smaller. 2 Sets of bottom pulleys. The oversize Teague that is on it and the custom spacer, and the stock lower pulley and stock spacer. All lower pulley bolts as well. I will throw in the extra belts that change the ratio's as well for your own tuning. I probably have about $6000 in aquiring all the different parts that it took to tune this engine where we wanted it. With the extra pulleys, and belts etc..... This blower made 7.5lbs boost in a 7.5:1 comp 468" BBC. Will make over 700HP in that engine as well. Very reliable combination. For an extra $500 I will throw in the MSD ignition system that is on this engine along with the stainless mounting bracket ($125 new) that the MSD is sitting on and an extra MSD box that just came from a check up at MSD for perfect functionality. MSD also includes the noise filters to protect from current inconsistencies. $3000 blower stuff OBO $500 MSD stuff (firm) $1750 for the attached CMI's complete with the tails and hoses and extra clamps. Shipping is negotiable. |
By the way. I will sell the complete running engine for $17500 right now if anyone is interested and throw in the $600 1100HP thermostatically controlled oil cooler and the Jumbo Keith Eickert Sea Strainer, and a 14 hour Bravo Gimble if someone buys it the next few days.
This is a complete re rig kit for someone that has a single engine boat that they want to upgrade. I would take a low-mid hour 502MPI in on partial trade. Engine made 700HP+- depending on how we timed it out. Right now it is set at 675HP |
Gonna go ahead with this idea. Bring me an offer on the blower stuff and the CMI's. Keeping the MSD.
This is a killer upgrade for someone with a 502 or 454 looking to go fast. Needs to go fast. |
Are those tails for bravo cutouts, just extend past the transom ie no tips needed??? Sorta look like they have the right bends for that.
