I was under the impresion that a 502 would be more that 415 hp. please give me more info on motor. Interested in a 502 long block that would get me closer to 500hp

Thats the rating for a merc 502, if you want 500HP in a boat and you want it to last you will need to spend a lot more money.

it is a 415 hp has intake and carb on it about 440hp..
