Any interest in an 88 Checkmate 251 convincor project ?

testing the waters , i've got an 88 checkmate 251 convincor on a tandem galvanized roller trailer , its got a bad ford 460 in it , its also a king cobra drive

transom is solid , stringers are solid , floor is solid but lifting up in one spot under the carpet
cabin is nice
all the seats are well worn , functional but worn / brittle / wood needs replaced in driver side bolster

my plan was to drop in a nice 454 magnum with 496 manifolds that i picked up but now my plans have changed , i do still have the motor and its setup with the correct bell housing to mate to the king cobra transom

i'm still waffling about the price of the boat / trailer and the engine is not included in that sale , but may be available for extra cheese

i'd entertain partial trades of an older pair of jetski's , or a jeep wrangler maybe

just in case my PM box fills up , you can e-mail me at usedpartsgod @ gmail dot com

I am not a complete expert but I am pretty sure that this can not be done as the 496 cylinder head is completely different than 454-502...

Someone correct me if I am wrong....but I don't think so...

496 manilfolds bolt to the head the same as 454/502 , only thing to adapt is the oil filter mount on one side and the shift quadrent on the other , i choose to relocate both to the transom

pics on there way , as i said , these are stock aluminum 496 manifolds on a 454

LOL! Tell my Procharged 454 that! It made a big difference over the old, heavy cast Iron I had!
