I'll stay out of the eBay p!$$ing match, but I wonder how well a set of clear ones would work as submersible reverse lights on the back of a trailer? I had to back my trailer down a very dark and curvy driveway the other night, and some light would have helped! Has anyone else used these in this manner?

I have used the ones on my boat for that very purpose more than once. It works pretty good.

I've been reading up on these and the new super LED's heat up so much they usually have thermo protection built in so when they get too hot they start blinking or shut off.
I would think running them dry for too long would make this happen...so if you use them that way don't think they're junk if they blink after being on a while.
After reading about them I recently bought an A3 OceanLED for the Nordic.

Just to add some clarity to the thread, the pictures 3 & 4 in the OP are OceanLEDs.

I caught that too because I just watched their video on Youtube
Plus those are multiple A12's which cost a small fortune. I bought new SB CMI's for what those light set-ups cost!
