Hmmm.. I have an XR rear cover on my '89 Bravo case.. I don't think that makes it an XR..
I'll bet that there has been some parts swapping done on that drive...

The boat is in northeast north carolina. The pictures at the top of the thread show a B3 X which was a B3 CASE with X gears and a Imco shorty (single prop). The pictures a couple pages later in its current state show a B1 WHICH IS WHAT IS ON IT RIGHT NOW (unless it got stolen this morning) The limitation is on the COMPLETE B3 set up was the duoprops which selection was not that good on prop pitch and dia I believe, which this never had in the first place as that is all in the lower unit section. As for the 70 mph B3 comment not sure on where that came from and dosent really matter form my standpoint as that was not the configuration. On a side note the Blackhawk was the same principle with the exception of being semi surface piercing.

just thought it had a bravo III on it as the old pic showed it and I have no idea if that pic was taken yesterday.

Matter of fact mercruiser only claims the current bravo III for boats up to speeds of 65 mph thats it.

How do I know this. # 1 its in their marketing ads , drive specs and online under Mercruiser drives off of their webpage.

# 2, I have been in the marine business for 22 years now plus own marine dealerships including Merc / Mercruiser selling, repairing, parts sales, new & used boat sales of all the major brands so I know a little bit of the marine world and what gives but its only 22 years.

Anyways I like the boat and good luck with your sale.
