B&M 250 Blower setups. Complete.

Considering selling my B&M 250 Blower setups. Blowers were rebuilt at Holley and have roughly 75 hours on them. Polished blowers and intakes. Carbs were gone thru and have about 15 hours on them. This setup ran great, no hiccups, loading up, etc. Here is what you would get

2 Blowers
2 BBC rect port intakes with rear water jackets drilled and tapped for water dumps.
2 Holley 1050 Dominator Carbs with quick change fuel bowls with Linkage plates and 8AN feed lines.
3 top pulley sets. 3,5,7 PSI pulleys
Crank pulleys with spacers and triple V groove accessory pulleys.
2 Belts plus one spare belt.
Choice of 10x3 Gaffrig flame arrestors or 9x5 KN flame Arrestors.
Hatch inserts that are gelcoated and can provide a additional 3" of clearance.

Basically, every thing you will need to bolt on and go boating. $4500.00. There may be some cheaper 250's around, but hard to find complete turn key kits. Heck, the 16 rib driven pulleys are $200+ each pulley. I have 3 sets for this setup to give you the boost you desire to run. Would make a perfect Xmas gift to yourself!! :drink:

If you didnt like the "RED" in between the lines on the blowers, a little Brake Kleen and a tooth brush will remove it.

Both carbs are painted black/red now. Blower in the right in the second photo had just got polished up when I took that picture.

While not shown in these pics, I drilled and tapped the rear of the intakes to run water dumps off the back of the intakes. This helps cool the back cylinders, prevents steam pockets. You can also dial in your water psi by using different size hose or fittings. A tip I got from Eddie Young.

Carbs are not boost referenced. When setting them up, I set them up identical to how merc setup their 1050's on the 525SC engines. 6.5PV front and rear. Stock jetting was 98s on the mercs. These Have 104's in them right now. Never fouled a plug, or a black transom. Can't say how much HP i was making with these, but I can tell you bolted on 460CI engines, roller cams, aluminum Dart heads, 7psi, 30* timing, my 1990 Straight bottom 38 Fountain with big drives went 84mph on GPS. The same Hull with same drives, and 500EFI mercs, ran 71-73mph according to another board member. Im sure with a little more timing, and a little less jetting, I would have gained a bit more. Idled no problem all day with the way the carbs are setup. 950RPM in neutral, 650 in gear. No surging. Real nice around the docks. Although B&M is no longer in business making blowers, you can still get just about everything for these thru Holley/Weiand. I have a PDF catalog with all the part #s, for seals, gaskets, bearings, gears, snouts, input shafts, etc. All stuff still avail new. These intakes have the O-Ring style for blower to intake seal. I did have a problem with the o-rings sealing. After holley bought B&M, they recommend replacing the o-ring with part #155285, which is a thick gasket. I would recommend that to whoever buy these. The gaskets are like 32.00 each online. Pretty firm on the price. If they dont sell, i'll just keep them. Only real reason Im selling is I am rebuilding my engines right now, and would like to go with a big ole cog tooth'ed roots style. Mainly for asthetics since I built some big race style blower hatches.

For anyone Running stock 525SC's, these would be a nice upgrade. When I had the Weiand 177 blowers, best speed was about 77mph, 5psi. If you want more than 5psi out of a 177, usually you gain nothing but heat. Going from 5psi to 7 psi with these 250's, really woke it up.

If you had the chillers at that price, I would jump in.

I like the red. It would match mine.

I am looking to add 250's to my rig over the winter.

Really would wake it up

Damn!! If I could just drop them on my 454's I might be all over them. I might have to do some research on my builds. I don't think they are blower friendly.
