I've tried to reply to some PM's but some mail boxes are full.

To answer one question about fitting a gen 5 block. I believe it would fit just fine. It came off a gen 6 454. I think the only difference in the gen 5 and 6 is that the 6 block has no mechinacal fuel pump mount. The only thing I would check is to make sure the harmonic balancer is compatable.

so I could basicly bolt this on my somewhat stock 502 and make 525 horse?

mike tkach 09-15-2012 09:29 AM

the merc sc525 has 7.5 to 1 compression,and i believe the 502 is 8.75 to 1,but if tuned properly,it will work,and 525 hp is very realistic.

It would really wake up a stock 502. Slap an intercooler underneath it just to be on the safe side and enjoy some cheap horse power.
