Cigarette 28ss and open projects or parts
I have a Cigarette 28 open and a 28ss for sale. Both are projects and neither has power. The open is a nice rig that was in process of being converted to outboards. It is almost complete. The ss on the other hand needs lots of help. It is all there except for the engines, exhaust and drives. I will sell them as is and I may sell the parts off if there is enough interest. SS still has the windshield frame, original interior, lots of hardware and the chrome deck hatches. I can be reached from 7a-11p @ 239-272-0025. Thanks, David.

Any bolsters?
|
SS is $1500, Open is $8500 and I have a dual torsion axle aluminum trailer that I will let go with the first one that goes for $1000. The trailer was just completely rebuilt. Everything on the trailer is brand new including the axles. No bolsters, the SS has the barel buckets with the spring post. If anyone has any more questions, feel free to call me @ 239-272-0025. Thanks, David.

28ss' are popular boats. Especially a cheap hull waiting to be redone/repowered. A 28ss redone with potenet small blocks and bravos is on hell of a fun boat. I have spent the last 2 years looking for your deal and finally bought a different boat last month. Is it the blue and white one that was for sale a few years ago?

Here are a couple of pics. The SS is rough enough that I am going to make a cc out of it if it does not sell.

The boat is located in Naples Florida. I did not think I had to say it but for $1500.00 THE TRI AXLE ALUMINUM TRAILER DOES NOT GO WITH THE BOAT. Yes, the boat does have a title.

I know the SS really well. I derigged it for a buddy who bought it here in Ohio back in 2004. The transom was not terrible but he wanted to replace it and put bravo's on it. Otherwise a very solid boat. Too bad someone did take better care of the interior as it was only a year or 2 old.

CIG3,
Did you derig for John or the guy who was supposed to buy it but never payed for it? It is a shame, the boat was just left out to rot for quite some time. |
It was a combo. I picked up a set of bravos and gimbals for John. I pulled the engines, drives and gimbals before the deal to sell was put together. I made the first cuts the remove the transom and thats where it got weird. The guy that was supposed to buy it came to the shop a few time to work on it. Its all sad history from there. Ruined a couple good friendships. Enough said. I would love to have it to finish but just to many projects right now.
|
That's the same story (almost word for word) I got from John. I'm in the same boat (no pun intended), I have more projects than time and I am running out of warehouse space. I am putting all of my boat projects up for sale and the last one standing is going to get all the love and attention. Good luck with yours.

28 ss now to be parted
I did not get much interest in the boat complete. I am now going to cut the deck off, replace all wood with Coosa and put a center console in it with a pair of 250 Mercs. All of the original hardware will be up for sale. It still has pretty much everything ie. low windshield, foredeck hatches, gauge panel, seats (fronts with spring pedestals and rear bench), engine hatch with three scoops etc. etc. if anyone has any interest in any parts, please email me your email address and part of interest and I will send you a picture and pricing. Was hoping someone would have the time and interest to restore this boat but it should make a nice open fish when done. Thanks.

how much you want for it

28ss
Got to get $1500 for the hull only as pictured on the first page of this post. If I can't get that I will cut it and make a cc out of it. One way or the other, by next weekend something is going to happen to it. Thanks.

I have pulled the boat apart and cleaned up the usable parts. If anyone has an interest in something please message me your email and I will send pics. My paid membership has expired and I can not post pics. The list of parts is as follows: Deck hatches Low windshield frame Cabin cushions (replaced and never used) Cabin door (teak) and hatch Bucket seats Spring loaded seat pedestals Engine hatch with scoops Misc. latches and hardware I would like to see these parts used instead of going in the dumpster. Any reasonable offers accepted. Thanks. |
