trs is the older style, they have been out of production for about 20 years i believe. they use a transmission, so you have more weight than with bravos, roughly a couple hundred pounds with twins. also bravos have more engine compartment room as the engines set all the way back to the transom assys. so front of engine access is usually tons better. the trs drives are also more beefy, heavier, stronger, and less prone to breakage. trs sits deeper in the water. none of the transom assy. parts interchange. the trs cutout is larger, totally different. trs parts are getting harder to find. bravo parts are easy as they still make them, and you will need them, as they break a lot with high hp engines, compared to trs. that is a hell of a good deal on that drive package.

Did not mean to hurt your feelings, sometimes I forget how sensitive and unresourceful some can be..

No feelings hurt here, I understand some in life aren't as willing or understanding as I am to help some others if a question is asked, especially on an online forum where people generally seek and share knowledge of similar interests.... Have a good day, sir.

sr73z-Thank you for the informative post, cleared up some questions I, and possibly others had about the items for sale.

Zero Patience 04-30-2013 05:06 AM

Zero Patience 05-09-2013 07:26 PM

1fastlx 06-01-2013 07:23 AM

I need a pair of wingplates if the owner is willing to sell these, or if he is converting to bravo I have bravo plates trade.

CHAOS REIGNS 06-04-2013 11:59 AM

750 for the RH lower - that is all I need.

some people just think because they know everything that they are better and they like to make others look stupid when they don't know how to explain something. I deal with it on a regular basis. its always better to teach than criticize.
