2003 Maximum Thunder Cat 32 catamaran complete boat less motors only 21 hours.
I bought this boat in 2010 or 11 on a open certificate of Origin. I dont know much about the history of this boat manufacturer but i do know a little about the history of this boat. Please chime in with any knowledge on this manufacturer. From what I understand this was a splash off of a maelstrom. it looks indentical to me. this boat is 32 in length and has a 10ft beam very wide boat. The wide beam really gives it a very stable and nice ride.
The story i was given was this hull was bought brand new in 2002 less drives, interior and motors. While the company was building it the manufacturer went bankrupt and the bank came in and siezed the boat. The previous owner had already paid for it. The boat stayed in storage for years until the bankruptcy was settled and the boat was given back to its real owner. The owner then took the boat home and had it in his climate controlled garage while he continued finishing the boat. The boat was then about 98% done and the previous owner got sick and was never able to use it and sold it to me. I have a box of receipts for every nut and bolt on the boat. the boat appears to be very well made. I have only seen three of these boats for sale since I bought this one
. the boat was rigged with top dollar parts gaffrig gauges and levers, imco stand off boxes and imco scx lowers on bravo uppers, all imco steering,imco sea strainers, the interior has captains chairs out of a spectre and custom rear seats. I had the scx lowers modified with lower water pick ups. I had a custom stereo put in that is ridiculous. It is all MTX there are 16 speakers and a MTX 5 channel amp and a 4 channel amp. I had custom enclosures made for the speakers to give the boat a littl emore modern look.
When I bought the boat I had to finish the rear sunpad put a stereo in it and had a full cover made. I can send tons of pictures if you want please email me at [email protected] boat has tons of potential to make a great boat for low cost. The boat has only 22 hours of complete use. I ended up buying a 36 spectre so this boat just sits i dont have anymore room on my dock. The boat is complete as of now Im just testing the waters to see if I can sell it with out the motors.
