Blown 468's drop in ready
Gen V 468 with forged rotating assembly, hydraulic roller cam, new Comp Magnum roller rockers, Merlin heads and TBS polished 250 blowers. I bought these motors to put in my fountain project to get it on the water this summer, but the hull ended up taking longer to get ready than was projected. They were originally built by Performance Marine last fall and had only 15 hours on them when I bought them. When I got them back to the shop I ran them on our Superflow 902 engine dyno and found that the motors had a little less than ideal hot idle oil pressure. We pulled the pans and all main, and rod bearing clearances per perfect. We opted to replace the stock oil pumps with Melling HV/HP pumps and drives and now they have great pressure at RPM and idle.
The motors are set up to make 4.5-5 PSI of boost with the pulleys that are on them and with a top pulley swap they make 7 PSI (93 octane) and 730HP.
