Do you know if that's big enough for a 502 with grumpy jenkins 345 cc intake runners? Does anyone here know? If it will work I'll take it. I see 177 's also for bbc

We put a 174 blower on a 516 last year and a 509 this year. With the pulley that came with them the blower would only make 1/2 lb of boost. With the smallest pulley we could get it will make 3-3/12 lbs.

That's with gm 088 heads.

From what I was told by the guy at the engine shop[ when the one engine was on the dyno the heads do not determine the boost. It is the engine's displacement vs. the blower's displacement and rpm.

I personally feel blower size is relevant to cubic inch, but also HP level. A 454 with peanut port heads, stock manifolds and a rv cam wont require the same blower as one with fully ported cnc heads, 700 lift cams, and headers. A poor flowing 454 engine will see higher boost than a good flowing 454 at xxx drive ratio.
