Non swept back is fine if you hard shim the input bearing preload or at least loc-tite the nut and stake it with a chisel. BTW, you can buy a brand new old style upper XR with this mod done for under $4,000.

you can buy a rebuild from victory marine not new but looks like new with a warranty for $4200

They are brand new. They have to call them rebuilt because they open them up and hard shim the input shaft brgs to prevent that nut from backing off. I bought one a year ago from them for $3,900 + shipping.

Morning i would not mind giving a deal on it,but i paid 2500.00 to have it gone threw. Called victory they sell upper for 4200.00. Im willing to go to 3500.00 for a sale.
