525 headers
 

I have one set of headers for a merc 525.. Both leak on top portion when pressure tested. May be able to fix them but I don't know. I am buying new so these need to go away. I'm in Houston so if your close to that, it will be better. I have no idea if these are worth anything so make me an offer.

I have one offer at 300. Best offer gets them. I work in Channelview and go to Beaumont often so that's easy.

Here are a couple of pics. It was sprinkling yesterday when I pressure checked them and I did not bother to clean them up. That said, they look good from the outside. These headers are coming off a 2005 42' fountain with 390 hours +/-. I purchase the boat from Shogren in Feb of 2015 and he said it was a great lakes boat. That is about all that I know about them other then when I pressure checked them with a water hose (we have high water pressure) there was a pin hole at the top where it goes from one pipe to the four tubes.

If they are CMI, they are really good about fixing them if they can, and it is relatively cheap, I had one leaking thay shipped it and repaired it for around $200.

Got a highest offer at 500+shipping. Anyone else? I can video the pressure test and show the leaks so you have an idea what you are getting. I want to be as honest as possible, but I also want to get as much as I can for them. These cost 5800 to replace.

I'm interested in them still. I'm checking on getting another set also as I have twins. I should know something by mid day tomorrow.

It appears these things are not just paper weights:) I called CMI and they said they fix about half the headers which come in and these sound like they will be fixable. That said, I am not a welder and they are diagnosing this over the phone which is basically worthless. I have new power and I will be going with new exhaust so these are still for sale. I have several of you sending pm's, and the best offer is $600.00+ shipping. My plan is to keep updating the price through the middle of the weekend then sell to the highest offer. I am happy to take video of the leaks over the weekend for the highest bidder as I do not want anyone to feel these are being misrepresented. Whoever gets them, I will accept payment as you wish. Paypal, check, etc. If you need some time to get your money, that is okay. Just give me your word on a deal and I will do the same.

Also, I travel to DFW, Beaumont, Austin, San Antonio every month so I can meet someone in one of those areas if it makes me more money.
