2-Merlin 555" tall decks (complete)
 

For sale is a set of Merlin tall deck 555" big blocks complete, all work done in 2012 and has approx 60 hours on them, I will list the parts I have paperwork for or what is seen visually... I had engines running and water tested them last week, closed cooking so no rot or anything at all, ran great! Listing whole for a bit then may part these down to short locks and people can make them what they want, if that's option message me and we can go from there.

555 cubic inch, Merlin tall deck blocks, one block has splayed billet caps other does not just has standard Gm 4.25 stroke forged crank, Carrillo rods with arp2000 bolts, JE pistons, 8.5:1 compression, Brodix heads "Big Brodie 340cc runner full CNC Porting , cams are 234/242 .610/.632 lift Manley pushrods, crane gold rockers, edelbrock 4500 454r intakes, 1050 dominators and flame arrestors, will come fully dressed with accessories, wiring, msd distributors, wires, fuel pumps are carter or baker not sure, sea water pumps, alternators, flywheels, no bell housing or oil cooler system I will connect lines together in place of cooler as I am using them, no exhaust that can be bought seperate. One oil pan has Windsor in pan other is on engine, one engine has arp studs other has Aron bolts. Dynoed at 622 hp and 648tq I will provide all the paperwork that I have for them

I see what your saying tom. Tim if you can bring the piston all the way down in the bore and get a straight on pic. Those engines are very clean inside. It's obvious who owned them previously did routin oil changes etc. looks like where toms talking about is oil/drip shine or is it possible machining from factory or balancing. Not a common area for balancing on that part of the pin boss but really difficult to see from that angle.

These will make somebody good reliable power with a great foundation to build up down the road if one so chooses to do so.

So are you breaking up now? Or testing the waters to see if engines sell first. If so don't blame you. I'm assuming 4.560 bore but wondering if their dish pistons to get 8.5:1 comp. I have a guy looking for short or long block tall decks. He's ideally looking to add extra power down the road with blowers so if pistons are dish that would be a plus. The math just isn't coming out right if their flat tops with 119 chambers unless their in the hole xxx and have xxx gaskets. Either way just confirm when you can on chamber and runner CC's as well as pistons. if you are separating Maybe I'm getting other threads mixed up but assuming they're the same engines in other. (Heads, shortblocks)

Tim what is and when did standard GM 4.250 crankshaft hit the production line? Just wanna get my ducks in a row before forwarding information and end up looking like a fool.
