can someone give me a heads up on how to post pics on a thread?

You have to be a paying member - or upload them to a site like photodump.org, and then link them into the thread.

Being a Paying Member, is not required. You can go through a hosting site, such as Flickr, Photobucket, Smugmug, Pbase, etc..., and then copy the link, that is made for sharing in threads/ forums, and then click insert image, & paste the link into the box.
