If you guys would switch to Chrome as your browser the pop ups are gone. And it is way faster than IE.

Agreed that it's faster, must faster actually! However, this is one of the slower forums.

Havent had a pop up since i posted the thread. I believe its local because the dodge dealership was from the nola area, not far from me. I also havent seen the banner ad since. Glad to see OSO be so proactive and helpful, thanks guys!

i dont get any pop ups on this site, been using Firefox and i have noticed the blocker notification thing pretty often though.

I use Internet Explorer and have a popup blocker on. I also have my computer set to clear out all cookies when I close out the IE program. I dont get any pop up ads when I come on OSO.

You guys aren't set up right. I have NEVER EVER seen an ad on OSO in 5+ years! I don't get pop-ups, I don't get inline forum ads, I don't get top or bottom banner ads. Nothing! Not on this site or any other site. I'm using Firefox with Adblock Plus with a few custom filter rules.
Secondly, taking out your frustrations on the mods is futile and disrespectful. They have nothing to do with any of this. All they do is take time out of their day, on a voluntary basis, and try to help us all. |
