the pic is from my photos... can't upload any others regardless how small they are 247 kb or 83 kb doesn't matter ... what am I doing wrong???

Try turning off the Enhanced Image Uploader in your profile settings.

Click on the Forum Actions tab and then General Settings to get there and turn it off.
