Where to launch boat on Old Hickory
I have a 35 foot formula that I want to put in this Saturday. I need to know which launch would be the least steep and closest to Pirate's Cove. I'm coming from Murfreesboro, but haven't been on Old Hickory a lot, therefore I'm not real familiar with the lake. Let me know if you have any suggestions please!

Do a mapquest of Blackjack Cove........basically, stay on 65N thru Nashville to Old Hickory Blvd (state route 45). Hang a right at the end of the ramp and then go something like 6-8 miles and turn left........should be a sign when you get into Old Hickory/Lakewood.

launch ramp
I would launch at Rockland. It's easy to get to. Straight up 65exit Vietnam Vet Blvd (386) then exit after Center Point Rd Hendersonville exit. R on Gallatin RD to Hville, Right at the Exxon to Power plant Rd. Right on Power plant and your there. It's behind Anchor High. The next marina on lake is Black Jack. Facing the ramp you want to us the left side. Plenty of parking if you arrive early. BJC has one ugly ramp and parking is not the best.
