MCPA Lives....
As a few of you know I have reinstated the MCPA and its non-profit status... For a little history, the MCPA had been dissolved administratively by the State of TN in 2008 and has not been an entity legally for a few years. That has been rectified as I am now listed as the contact person and I have paid personally the fees associated with the formation of the corporation. I am also paying for the necessary documentation to ensure the non profit status and have enlisted the help of the necessary professionals to make sure that it is all done by the book!
All that being said, I would sincerely hope that I can garner support from all of you as this organization will exist solely to better the powerboating community in our area. I will hopefully have it set up in the coming weeks to accept members to the organization as I will ask if not shame you guys and girls in to being members and being involved because that's the only way this will ever work. It is my intent to form a board of directors who can help this organization grow and put on a poker run that we can all enjoy. All MCPA events will be organized by boater and ran by boaters. Other events and ideas are also things that we should consider and hopefully we can all be proud to be members and have a great time together. Thanks, Chad |
