Curious minds want to know. Used to see them towing airstream trailers all the time in the 1960s.

Airstreams were also aluminum skinned. My guess would be somewhere in the 3,000 lb range, although some had air shocks as I recall, granted not factory. Figure a '66 had 4 wheel factory drums and you know how well drum brakes stop.
What did you have in mind to drag around?

Yeah Jordy, I had a goregous 67 eldo that was fast with a 472 or something engine (can't remember) but scary when trying to stop the thing with the goofy brakes. Aftermarket disc brakes would be installed, but the key question is what would be what the maximum towing potential? With proper airshocks etc. I'll bet it is well over 5,000 pounds.
What would I be towing? Depends on how much the thing can tow. <gg>
