2004 Dodge Injector pump story

On the way down to the Pickwick Races, I lost an injector pump on my 2004 dually pulling the boat. Long story short, that happened on Friday May 13th. Today is Thursday the 19th, part just arrived at the dealership. I've been stranded since then. Dealership needs a full day to install it plus wants to test it the next day. Dodge isn't allowed to stock the pump, and Cummins wouldn't overnight it because of their fat egotistical policies.

Picked up the truck today. Exactly SEVEN days after I broke down, they finished the replacement. No blame on the dealership, they were awesome. All DODGE's incredible non customer friendly policies. I would recommend that anyone that has an '04 style injector pump that is mounted to the engine block, bring their truck into the dealership and get it replaced. The new ones are mounted in the tank. I was told the engineers finally got their heads out of their A$% and decided it was easier to push the fuel than pull it. Bottom line, 4 days to ship the new part (They WILL NOT overnight it) and one whole day to retro fit it in the tank. All of then '05's have the pumps in the tank. By the way, 20,000 miles on the truck when the original pump fried. No warning except an electrical burning smell.
