$0.70 fuel Bio-Diesel ???

I was looking for a diesel rabbit for my boy and kept seeing references to bio-diesel conversions on ebay. So after another lost morning on the Internet... [url]http://www.localb100.com/cbt/gettingstarted/
I currently run 3208TA Cats circa 1986. The idea of lowering my fuel cost by 75% seems fun enough but there are implied emission and efficiency benefits as well. The effort to make this stuff for a 10 gal rabbit fuel tank seems silly. Now make it a 200 to 300 gal a weekend hobby and it has my attention. My question is has anyone had any experience with bio-fuels. My goal it to spend as much time in the water on plane as possible. $0.70 per gallon would go a long way in that pursuit. Thank for the input.

Hope you mind changing injectors often.

Funny that you brought this up,I just got off a website called www.solarhouse.com and they had some leads to biodeisel on there.I am no tree hugger but the alternative energy sources they are showing are real interesting.

Actually, that is information I'm looking for. Good or bad. As far as the injectors go where does the bio fuel fall short? I know nothing of this stuff hence the questions. Thanks

Many of the guys at the diesel shop where we have our trucks programmed have seen first hand what happens to the injectors when using cheap diesel. You already have to change the fuel filter every other, or everytime you change oil. That should tell you the fuel systems are delicate already. You might as well burn 87 octane fuel in a marine motor that requires 93 or better.

Steer someone away because we are in the Oil business?

it's true bio is loaded with problem-causing particulates. Massive filtration is an absolute.
