My Myco came with Goodyear wrangler Lt ,they lasted about 5 years and started blowing out,I replaced them with the same things.

I have marathons on the car trailer with good luck.

Strange...I had Carlisles on my Nordic trailer and PowerPlay trailer (tandam So. Fl Trailer) and never had an issue and I know the sidewalls took a beating.

I have never had a problem with Carlisles got em on my trailer now,5 years old.Gonna try to make it one more season.

The OP never said what size tires or wheels he had so it's kinda tuff to give a real good answer to his question. I think you will find that the larger the wheels you have the more choices you have regarding trailer tires. If you have 14" wheels and tires I think you SOL. Unless you have a small aluminum boat or a jet ski, your 14" tires are probably overloaded and you should upgrade to 15" anyway. 15" have a larger selection of tires but I agree with Jeff that the "best" right now are the MAXXIS tires. They are one of the few that are 10 ply. Marathons are pretty popular and a lot of people run them but they are only 8 ply & keep in mind that all Goodyear trailer tires are made in China. Goodyear does however have an insurance policy that will pay for any damage to your trailer or boat as a result of a tires failure.(I have been told this by two or three different dealers). The best is 16" tires if the wheels will fit under your fenders. The tire selection is much larger and you almost never hear of tire problems from people that run 16" wheels and tires.

The only issue some may have I believe is that the 10 ply (E rated) are only offered in the 15s. They do not offer E rated 14s or at least they didn't when we got them last years. We installed "tall equalizers" in order to get the 15s work on our Heritage. Now towing is night and day difference with the MAXXIS, much more stable.

I just took off a set of 5 no name brand 15" tires. The trailer has about 100 miles on it. I went with the 10 ply E Maxxis. The Maxxis even looks like a heavier tire. I have to weigh the boat and trailer together and figure out what I should run for pressure. I have enough extra axle and tire capacity I could remove 2 tires off one axle and run it that way if I had to. I also have a spare tire and hub mounted on the trailer. Being stuck on the side of the road is dangerous and just sucks. Doug

Goodyear trailer tires are built in CHINA??? sheesh. :rolleyes: Who makes Maxxis and where? Don't trailer tires come with max air pressure stamped on them?

From purely personal experience, I wouldn't put Carlisles on my kids tricycle. My worst experience (about 4 years ago) involved two 1 year old Carlisles with less than 100 miles on them detonating separately on two different trips. One took out a brake line, marker light and tail light when it went. Neither was under inflated. They wouldn't cover either of them under warranty. I now run Goodyear Marathons with no problems.
