Default Ford Expedition

I have a 2001 Ford Expedition Eddy Bauer 4x4 with auto leveling suspension and I'm about to buy a Powerquest 280 Silencer that sits on a Heritage custom trailer. Do you think that this SUV will do the job or will it be out of breath.
Thank you

My friend has an Expedition and it tows like crap, but he's only got the 4.6. If you have the 5.4, you should be fine. You will definately be at the high end of the rating tho......

Good luck.!

Mine is the 5.4 with the 3.55, in 2001 this was the highest ration

With the 5.4 you'll be fine. I used to pull a Formula 271 on a tandem trailer with a 5.4 Expedition and never had any problems at all. Most of that pulling was at interstate speeds too. That whole rig was about 7K pounds.

Thank you everyone for your comments, I wasn't sure if I could tow this boat with my SUV. As for the boat the $$$ is ok but the boat and a new horse to pull the load would have been to much. If you have anymore suggestions, go ahead

I am pretty sure you have rear coil spring suspension. Do yourself a favor and invest in AirLift airbags or Firestone Ride-Right airbags for the rear end. It will drastically improve towing stability. Worth every penny of $300 installed. Do a search here on OSO for more info.

The suspension that I have on it is what thy call: 4-Corner Load-Leveling Air Suspension and it works great.
