BBC to Diesel conversion in suburban

Just thinking out loud guys, what woould it take to convert my 99 2500 suburban 454 2whl drive to a newer GM diesel? I'm assuming I'll need a new tranny, what about cooling, driveline, ect...

The suburban is in perfect shape and just the way I want it with lift and tires and all, so i don't want to sell it. But is the conversion not worth it? How much$$$? Should I go buy a diesel if I want a diesel?

Anyone done this type of conversion?
