Hey Oldtimer, I mean OldSchool. LOL

I have limited experience with the Predator on the Duramax. Have sold a few hundred for the Powerstroke though.

Here's what I can tell you. The Edge will cost more, but you get more. If you are a dealer concious person you may prefer a tuner over the Edge though.

I do have one customer who purchased one from me because he wanted to outrun his brother who was running the Banks Six Gun on his Max. The end result? The brother with the Predator "said" he could easily outrun the Banks set up on the Max. I have nothing but his word to base this story on.

We do run them a lot on the Powerstrokes. Right now it's the tuner I sell to a customer if they want the most available HP compared to other tuners I have access to.

Hope this helps somewhat.

As I said in my previous post, it's a VERY good deal. Less than what I pay for them.

Sorry chief. I don't have access to their products. I purchase strictly through warehouses. Therefore I'm limited to the products that they choose to purchase.

I wish I could take care of you. Be assured if I could get it I would make sure you are taken care of.

I've heard good things about it though.

What about programmers for 6.0L gas? My dealer said that there were braking issues with them. Anyone know about this?

When you say braking issues do you mean problems with slowing the truck down? If that's the case I've never heard of that one before.

As for putting one on your truck. Gains will be minimal at best. You will notice improvements in shifts and shift points. Power gains on a gas engine are just so small compared to a Diesel it's tough to get excited about it.

Hey Hard On, you going to SEMA this year? I haven't heard much from you lately. How's the business going? Good I hope.

Get this....We won a cruise from Keystone for our sales this year. If anyone knows much about this it would be you. Thought you would find that humerous.

Keep in touch,

Buck

can you get the mac airfilter kits?

thunderusone 10-01-2005 01:53 PM

Re: Duramax Predator Programer

DO NOT put a mac or k&N air filter on a diesel. AFE only!

No can do on the Mac. AFE, K&N, Green, and Airaid are the brands my distributors carry.

As for which one we should and shouldn't put on our trucks. Let's not get into that here. The discussion is a no win situation that is just going to bring out the worst in some of us. It's kind of like discussing religion or politics.....not good.

Re: Duramax Predator Programer

Look at the filtration studies and see for yourself. AFE is the only one that filters at the level a stock diesel filter does and still provides increased airflow. There is nothing to debate. I will not run anything but AFE on my personal trucks. But to each his own just my .02.

Re: Duramax Predator Programer

now that is funny for the cruise!!! where they sending you to. as for the mac want to do some testing on a dyno with the different ones is all, a local import shop said I could the dyno for a day to do some testing on my rig to see what it can do, trying some different things to see what happens, not looking for a debate or check this that debate. :D as for SEMA, don't think so,have a crud load on the plate this year and my rig isnt exactly ready to roll out to the show, my friends will be there brentzwheels.

Re: Duramax Predator Programer

That dyno thing sounds interesting Hard On. Let us know what come of it.

The cruise deal was kind of a fluke. Just signed up for it thinking I wouldn't get it and BAM, we got it. ???? Supposed to leave from Florida somewhere and then go to Porta Vi somethinoranother. LOL

Don't even know if I'm going to take it or not. May give it to my parents instead.

Keep in touch,

Buck
